Our Story
On a field of pure white snow, a journey of passion and perseverance quietly unfolds.
Chase for Snow Ski School was founded in 2018 by Alan and a group of friends who all share a deep love for skiing. It all began with the simplest idea— “I love skiing! I love skiing! I love skiing!” This is what founder Alan reminds himself, no matter how far he goes, to always remember his original passion.
What started as a hobby soon became everything in life. For this love, Alan moved to Hokkaido, giving up many of life’s “obvious” choices and stepping boldly into the unknown. There was no glamorous beginning, nor was it for fame or profit. The only wish was to help more people feel the freedom and purity that can be found on snowy mountains.
Eight years later, Chase for Snow is now the most highly rated, legal Chinese-language ski school in Niseko and Rusutsu. Our team has 25 professional instructors who teach in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese—all certified international instructors, including top-level ski and snowboard coaches, blending both expertise and teaching experience.
